The Kent College Pembury Parents' Association (Preparatory) or KCPPA (Prep) is a Charity and was formed in 1982 for the purpose primarily of fund raising and to arrange social events at which parents, pupils and staff could become better acquainted in an informal and relaxed atmosphere.
It also acts as an important channel of communication by organising Year Representatives throughout the school.
All existing and former parents, whether they have been a part of the Parents' Association or not, are invited to become members of the 'Friends of Kent College' Association, which enables them to stay connected to the school even if their daughter has left.

The voluntary committee comprises parent representatives from each year group and a small administrative team together with Mr Pears, Head of the Prep School. The noticeboard on the right as you enter the school lists current events and notices.

Alternatively you can contact us via Mrs Cyster or speak to any committee member known to you. We would be delighted to hear from you.
Due to the popularity of the Christmas plates the KCPPA would like to offer customised ‘Easter egg cups and mugs’.
There will be a choice of three designs and in addition we will personalise them with your child’s name. Please find attached a form which explains the designs in more detail.
These will be available to order from Monday 6th February at £3.00 per egg cup and £4.00 per mug. We do have limited stock so all orders will be filled on a first come first served basis.
Examples will be on display in the trophy window outside the Prep School reception shortly.
All funds raised go to the KCPPA (Prep).
The KCPPA (prep) will be selling tickets again this year for the Easter Basket Raffle to help complete the ‘Teachers Wish Lists’. Each ticket is priced at £1 - so a book is worth £5 and there are 7 baskets!
The Easter Baskets are on display in the prep school foyer where we will be selling tickets and you can also buy them from the prep school office.
We will also be giving a prize to the class that sells the most raffle tickets - so make sure you include your daughter’s class details on the front of the ticket!
The 7 winners will be drawn by Mr Pears on the last day of term. Please return completed ticket stubs (with money) no later than the morning of the 30th March 2017.
The Easter Bunny once again chose a beautiful sunny day to visit Kent College to help KS1 hunt for eggs. The girls were so pleased to see him, some sang him a song, others told him what they would like for Easter. They hunted for mini chocolate eggs and golden coins, had some biscuits and juice and then they gave him a hug goodbye, although they really didn't want him to go.
KS2 were tasked with making Easter bonnets for the Easter parade. There was an amazing array of colours and shapes as each year group paraded around the stage and the best hat was announced. The KCPPA provided juice, biscuits and Easter bags filled with goodies and I think it's fair to say that we had as much fun as the girls did. A very big thank you to the ladies that turned up to volunteer on the day. It was a great way to end Spring Term.
The KCPPA Candyland Christmas fair was held again this year at the Prep School. The year reps had been planning and crafting since the summer to create an amazing Candyland gingerbread grotto, huge lollipop decorations and white Christmas trees decorated with a multitude of candy, all made by hand.
As usual Santa was able to pay us a visit and open the fair with KC Bear. Mrs Pusey & The KC Choir did a great job of getting us all in the Christmas spirit with carols in the foyer and so many people commented on the festive atmosphere.
This year we had over 30 Christmas stalls selling local arts and crafts, from Christmas decorations to candles and cushions. Our resident face-painter was also on hand with her usual creative flair.
The gingerbread grotto was festooned with twinkling lights and oversized glittery lollipops and Santa once again sat with over 100 children giving presents and checking the ’Naughty or Nice’ list very carefully! This year Mrs Claus also paid a visit to tell stories to those little ones waiting.
The Games Room, Santa’s Bakery and Teddy Tombola were a resounding success and girls queued enthusiastically for a make-over in Girl Heaven.
This year the food included sausage & bacon baps, jacket potatoes and yummy cakes. The Year 4 reps did a fantastic job of running the café with the addition of real ales from the Tonbridge brewery, which also went down a treat.
So, something for everyone and the feedback we have had has been amazing. This year we raised over £3000 including a record £801 from the Magnificent 7 Hamper Raffle!
Thank you so much to the KCPPA Prep committee members and their families who put in so much effort. Thank you to staff and friends who go the extra mile to make the event a success and lastly thank you to all the families who donate and attend these events, we just couldn’t do it with out you.
What a lovely day we had at our Wonderland inspired Summer Fair organised by KC's fabulous Parents' Association. With glorious weather and amongst spectacular views we enjoyed a superb gymnastics display, lots of games, activities and Alice in Wonderland inspired fancy dress, bouncy inflatables, great food, refreshments and goodies from artisan stalls.
Thank you to Zoe Hurd (KCPPA Chair) and her team for all their hard work, it was a delightful summer festival for the KC Prep community.
